Cypress

The cypress tree is a symbol of longevity as the tree lives to a long age.   Cypress is pronounced as bai which is a homophone for hundred (百）. A popular design groups the cypress (柏), persimmon (sound the same as the word  thing/matter) and lingzhi fungus together. The lingzhi fungus is shaped like a ruyi (meaning as one wish).  Hence, the message bai shi ruyi (百事如意) ie hundred things goes smoothly.
