Magnolia

The magnolia is an emblem of feminiine sweetness and beauty.  The buds, roots and bark are employed for medicinal purposes.  In chinese, magnolia is called yulan hua £¨ÓñÀ¼»¨£©as the petals are as white and beautiful as jade.  It is commonly grouped with peony to form the auspicious phrase yu tang fu qui (ÓñÌø»¹ó) which means wealth and rank in the family. The word yu tang which is represented by the magnolia literally means jade hall.

The magnolia is also called  mubi hua (ľ±Ê»¨.)¡¡¡¡The second character bi sounds like certainty (±Ø£©.  A design of magnolia and taihu rock (a symbol of longevity) conveys the auspicious message of certainty of long life.
