Pine tree

The pine tree which is evergreen is regarded as a symbol of longevity and strength in adversity.  Commonly found together with other symbols of longevity such as crane and lingzhi; or with deer or peony to convey longevity and emolument/preferment  or prosperity.

It is also one of the 3 friends of winter.  The other two are plum and bamboo.
